SHOP TALK—A VALUABLE COMMUNITY SERVICE
Free, open to the public, drop-in, computer help.
That is the service provided by FRPCUG volunteers at the Saturday Morning Shop Talk sessions. Shop Talk is available in one of the Fort Collins Senior Center Activity Rooms (there will be a sign outside the room) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm every Saturday the Senior Center is open.
There are 3 important characteristics of Shop Talk:

It is available to ALL members of the community at no charge, on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis.

The service is designed to provide an informal, comfortable learning environment for ALL knowledge levels, including those brand new to using computers. This is NOT a group of people sitting around talking only in computer jargon.
- FRPCUG volunteers offer a wide range of hardware and software knowledge (including operating system, applications and security software). Please note that hardware repair services are not included.

- Discussions of several email programs, including Yahoo mail and Gmail.
- File backup processes, external hard drives and backup options.
- Computer cleaning software and processes.
- Photo processing software.
- Using a bootable flash drive with a netbook computer.
- Changing the "machine name" of a computer - a task that may sound simple, but required some investigative effort.
